MLB Power Rankings

Considers strength of opponent, margin of result, and recency. Reads as approximate run-margin vs avg team. Batting and Pitching break Rating into how much each side contributes (they sum to Rating). Park Factor estimates how much the home ballpark inflates or suppresses runs, independent of team skill - Coors Field's thin air sits at the top, marine-layer parks at the bottom. ~+0.5 = contender; ~+1.0 = elite; ~+1.5+ = generational (1998 New York Yankees = 1.70).

Counts reflect World Series titles only. Pre-1961 titles are included in each franchise's running total. Relocations are treated as separate franchises - e.g., the Brooklyn Dodgers' 1955 title isn't included in the Los Angeles Dodgers' count. The 1994 strike season has no champion.
